he's a good guy that definitely cares about teaching. he's easy going and cracks jokes during lectures and he'll occasionally diss uoft and york. he is also very clear on how much you need to actually study. he loses one point in my opinion as he can be a little passive aggressive or blunt but overall good prof
This is a tough course you need to actually take accountability and review. Start early and do a bit everyday. Maurizio is a great prof and really does care and want you to do well but if you don't put in the work you will fall behind and he'll warn you of that. If you go to class and pay attention and do the practice problems you'll be fine.
Awesome prof, great character. Explains concepts clearly and uses memorable rhetoric. Had an 8–11 am class that he moved to 9–11 am, cutting time but still covering content effectively. Bonus points for keeping everyone awake in a bland course. Make sure to review the workbook beforehand or you'll be lost (applies to any prof teaching this course).
The midterms are online, however, the final is worth 60 and in person. He made an announcement claiming the final will be a mix of multiple choice and problems, but he tricked the students, it was all problems and only 1 multiple choice. Most students were not prepared for this and got no formula sheet. Now will probably have to retake the course.
hes a good prof, love that hes a d1 schulich hater. take him guys!! your laughing in his class icl
Amazing professor!! breaks down even the most complex concepts in a clear, simple, and effective way. Offers bonus marks, and if you attend class and complete the homework, earning an A+ is very achievable.
he jokes around a lot in class but i found him very surface level when it came to actually explaining the content
Awesome prof. He starts class late, and ends early, so the actual lecture time is a bit shorter than the allocated 3 hours. However, his teaching style is still effective if you attend and stay focused. He spends the entire time going over practice problems making sure everyone understands the concepts. Also his personality is VERY humorous. 5/5
Professor Di Maio made CACC406's complex topics easy to understand. The course is content heavy. Keeping up with readings and the weekly quizzes was essential to my success. He also includes a significant amount of videos in the course modules. They do a great job of explaining the concepts.
He was just as bad as the other accounting profs so you really can't win idk what everyone is on about in these reviews but his midterms WERE significantly harder
