She is a tough grader, however if you visit writing support they will help you get a good grade in her class. She is a fair marker
Not great in general, ambiguous grading criteria, and extremely boring lectures. I don't understand why her gradings were so harsh for the group assignments but my mark did take a hit in this class. The course itself is dreadful, but the professor makes it worse because of her grading methods. If possible, switch to a different section.
Overall not a great TA. Gives a bit of attitude and changes her mind on marking. I confronted her over a mismarking on an assignment in class, she agreed my mark was unjust and stated she would adjust it. Then, she emailed me the next day saying she changed her mind. Overall not a great experience with her.
pretty hard marker and lectures arent great
This prof is very caring but marks quite hard. Lectures are dull, so you're often better off reviewing the slides. If you're stuck with her, ask clear questions about grading criteria and expectations. If you can switch, do it; if not, try your best but don't expect 90s without going above and beyond.
Great person, but an extremely hard marker for such a simple course. Lectures are dull and hard to stay focused in, making the class feel harder than it should be. If you want an easier, more engaging experience, you're better off taking a different professor.
Linda is an attentive and organized teacher. She makes the classroom conducive for everyone, regardless of their level of expertise or background. She cares about her students and offers help where needed. She also goes the extra mile and shares resources that the learner might find helpful. I found her approach beneficial for my learning style.
As a public health student, I found the course content largely irrelevant to our field—the content felt more suited to social work or communication studies, we did not gain much knowledge, which made it feel like a disappointing use of time and money despite consistent attendance and hope for more applicable material.
The class content often felt disconnected from relevance, which made it difficult to stay focused and the mandatory attendance policy made it feel like I was forced to attend rather than motivated by interest. The professor spoke softly making it difficult to follow along and stay focused during lectures. You'd be better taking it online.
I seen many reviews on her claiming that she marks unfairly and very hard yet I ignored it because I needed to take her class since it was the only one that fit my schedule and honestly they are NOT wrong. She marks so unfairly and hard for no reason. Her lectures are so boring, you don't need to know any info people just go for attendance...
