Very passionate teacher, and a super friendly teacher. I would gladly take one of her classes again. She does give a lot of assignments, however, I feel that I gained a lot of knowledge from completing each one.
her basically covered everything and her mt,essay and final was straight forway
I loved her, I actually learned alot :D and she does a good job of covering everything well. Tests were easy if you review a couple days be4 :D
I love her, she has alot to say and very good at her job, at the end of her course I learned a lot :)
Very approachable prof. Found her outlines to the exams very helpful. Assignments were easy-going. The book for me was pretty ambiguous. I understood the key terms and did well, but personally I found the material very uninteresting. But if you're looking for a beginner Sociology course, go with Whittington-Walsh.
This class was agony to sit through... It was supposed to be sociology of everyday life but all she seemed to talk about was how bad capitalism and men are! Seriously you think some of these professors would find some other topics to talk about. If you are rich, a man, or religious you may take offense to some things she says.
At first I couldn't tell if I liked her teaching or not. But she grows on you. She knows a lot about sociology, and has a lot to say! She is a pretty tough marker though - I couldn't seem to get over the 80%. I thought it would be an easier class, but it isn't! Midterm and final exam were decent in terms of toughness.
I loved her! Very nice and funny, very helpful on essay which is easy anyway. Tests are more than fair, I had a midterm in her class that was 17 questions. She marks pretty easy and her lectures are interesting because she uses a lot of multimedia and examples.
Amazing proff! Really laid back and has a nice lecture style. Tried to make the content relate-able and fun. Succeeded. Not to mention she gave extension's on her essays the two times i've had her!
Loved her. Loved the class. The midterm and exam were pretty difficult though. Tip: listen and take a lot of notes! Her slides are pretty useless and she doesn't post all of them. You must attend her lectures if you want to do well.
