Good prof! I think he's the kind of prof that is easy to get an 80 in but any higher, you have to really impress him. Good feedback and class are really easy. No complaints.
This professor is extremely childish and expects all of his students to attend every class and arrive on time or else he locks the door; not taking into account that some students walk from across campus. He does whatever he can to make life harder for his students. Do not take this prof.
John Graham is such an amazing professor and I'm so glad that I was able to take this course with him. This man will help you as long as you ask, and if you follow exactly what he tells you to do on the speeches and the assignment, its so easy to do well. Great professor, ended strong, definitely the best and most useful course I've taken so far.
Great prof, easy course, must take.
One of the few greatest profs at Ryerson. He gives the best constructive criticism. You really do improve from your first speech to your last speech and he teaches you skills that can be used beyond his course. This is a class where the techniques that you learn you will actually remember and use quite often.
Nice guy and interesting class. John gives really good feedback for your presentations. This was very helpful for the second presentation as you are able to work on and correct your mistakes. In terms of marks, you will have to show up to class and work for your mark.
John is a good professor, but you need to put in the effort. Attendance is mandatory for participation, but you can miss one class, and the test is based on the textbook. The test is pretty straightforward and not too bad. Three speeches are done, which are nerve wracking but he provides an outline to do well. Work hard, relax, and you will do well
Overall John was a good prof. In this class you still need to put effort in to do well. John wants his students to succeed and provides good feedback on how to improve your speeches and outlines. The test was not that hard, most of is straightforward, but it is from the book. Though some marks did seem random at times.
Take him if you can. Best prof and make class very interesting/engaging! Sometimes take long to reply to emails though.
Dr. Graham will have you do 3 speeches where he will give his astute constructive criticism on how you can improve at each successive speech. Don't be surprised to see yours and your classmates' speeches improve over time. Furthermore, his marking criteria is clear so you'll know how to get a good grade. Very. Useful. Course. A must take.
