Awesome prof, works hard, knows her stuff and links the boring rules to logic and real life situations. Makes it easier to understand....specially if you are interested in a career in tax!
Very compassionate prof. She will take your circumstances into consideration, unlike any other prof at Ryerson.
One of the hardest courses at Ryerson but great prof to take it with. She'll make it easier for you!
She has a very monotone voice that is hard to listen to. She also talks while people are copying down the homework, so it's hard to both write and listen to her at the same time.
She is a very sweet person and will take your personal situation into consideration and work with you if needed. Course material is extremely hard so you will have to put in a lot of effort into the course. But if you do, she will reward you for it!
Awesome prof, really pleasant to deal with and very easy going!! She makes sense of the material by connecting it to the real world and giving lots of examples of real life situations in tax.
I disagree. She solicits student feedback in class and alters her lectures accordingly. Took the time to do the problems herself on the overhead, with some exceptions. She is very approachable and easy to talk to. This is a course where you need to put in a lot of study time on your own.
She rarely moves from the podium, she's monotone and never writes out the questions. She instead throws them up on the overhead and allows people to copy the solutions while she runs through the question! She's being lazy for the sake of leaving early! Tax class should not be less than 3 hours in order to learn! But her classes are only 2 hours!
Absolutely the best tax instructor teaching in recent Ryerson history. She makes the course enjoyable and manageable. She has a genuine interest in the success of the student. She ties industry into a formal setting. You'll be happy you took the course with her. Can't thank her enough. Course is tough, and you must do the work to do well.
She brings current industry knowledge and incorporates that in her lectures like budget discussions, proposed changes to legislation, etc. She will make the course manageble and does not try to scare you. Also liked the fact that she sought feedback from the class and actually tried to implemenent some changes requested. Keep up the good work prof!
