He is really great! He is fair and you will do great as long as you know your stuff! People who are giving him negative rate are lazy kids who are not studying or paying attention in his class
NOT A GOOD PROF. DOESN'T TEACH PROPERLY, READS OFF SLIDES. IF YOU ASK HIM A QUESTION HE WILL NOT ANSWER IT. HE WILL ASK IF YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT HE SAID, IF YOU SAY THAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND (BECAUSE MANY OF US DON'T) HE WILL GET MAD AT YOU AND TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT LISTENING. NOT RECCOMENDED, TAKE CHERYL DYSON!!!
This prof will teach you how to memorize how to answer the cases the way he wants to. All the questions will be from the textbook, but it will be BRUTE memorization of everything. Be prepared to sit through and do all the cases. He is also very biased and the 2nd presentations are brutally marked because you need to be much "better".
He knows accounting but his overall attitude is terrible, he talks down to students. If you have a question that he thinks is stupid you better be prepared to made to look like an idiot cause he seems to like doing it. My advice: avoid this prof if you can if not make sure you read your text and are prepared for class.
Horrible prof. Doesn't know how to teach, very opinionated and "his answers" are the only corrct answers.. If u have to take this course take it..If not.. dont.. You just have to memorize the textbook. Its not easy memorization cause theres no MC on the exam.
Easy A. Just do the questions at the end of each chapter and the cases. Since there are presentations on the majority of the cases, you will be provided with a handout, or it will be available to you online. It does require memorization, however most of it IS logical, which will help you remember.
The purpose of this course is to test how well you could memorize the cases after each chapter! For me, taking this course is only to meet the CMA requirement. I don't know what i have learnt from this course, it is such a waste of money.
Attendance is mandatory as there is no text book and he takes attendance for participation. He expects you to be on top of your work, but you can do really well as long as you do practice questions before midterm and final...you need to be real quick if not you will run out of time. I loved this class and prof and think his grading is really fair
Prof was almost useless in the course. Both for the final and the midterm you had to have memorized all of the case questions in the textbook. Lectures consisted of taking up cases in the text (which prof of course only had ONE correct answer for). In case anyone cares, textbook is large and you should buy it used and save the $$$.
the prof will say the course is logical, but you basically have to memorize the whole book for the midterm and final because all the cases and questions come from the textbook. the case presentations are easy marks though.
