For GCM712. I think he felt bad that the class had to be held off-campus like 1.5hrs from TMU so he bought us Timbits every week lol and marked really easy. The class was interesting and it's clear he's passionate about letterpress printing. Gave extensions on assignments as far as he could and let us do a lot of hands-on stuff which was fun.
bros chill but ima be fr im just tryna catch sum Zs in class not listen to a yapfest at 8 am. programs kinda mid and i lowkey dont wanna be here its tragic out here ffam
Hands down one of the nicest profs. He genuinely cares about his students and tries to make assignments and projects easier for us. Honestly as long as you do everything in the course and try to do a good job, it should be good. His grading is extremely fair and the feedback is always very detailed and nice.
Art is hella passionate about estimating. the content is just dry itself. he gets on rambles of his experience in the field. TBH my lab partner carried me. skipped the lectures. DO THE LABS EACH WEEK! missed some quizzes. final was an EASILY graded reflection. very understanding and helpful in lab. occasionally participating in class also helps.
Nice man, but quizzes were very difficult. Honestly is very nice when it comes to marking.
Art was really kind and helpful. The actual class material was alright... I think it doesn't matter who teaches the course - the content will be dry regardless.
Is a bird a bird if it cannot fly? No. So is a professor is a professor if he cannot teach? Still no. Art is a flightless bird. To begin... he reads off a script it's literal impossible to absorb anything he's saying because there's too much info and his voice has no expression. Why is he playing 3 hour youtube videos, my guy use your own sources
Art claims he's "very serious about teaching" but is a huge fan of playing 3 hours of youtube videos and calling it a lecture, and writing everything he will say out in powerpoint slides. 3 people consistently showed up to the mandatory labs and the videos provided explaining the various programs are trash at best. Art sucks, to understate it
Arts lectures are incredibly boring. He struggles to add enthusiasm and is very monotone when speaking. Most students struggle to pay attention as they either fall asleep or begin to daydream. Art also incorporates a lot of weekly assignments which require a lot of time but do not provide many results.
