Heavily follows Socratic Questioning style of instruction; does not realize students have no prerequisite knowledge to engage his questions. Engaging/interesting/conversational; however, also unfortunately confusing and indirect. Slides vary: can be detailed; can be void of sufficient explanatory text. To prepare, ask AI for a summary BEFORE class.
Arguably one of the best teachers in the faculty. Explains well and interacts with the class, gives proper feedback if asked, and wants to help you learn and will improve himself based on the students' needs. But you have to participate in class and take notes cuz the midterm and final were 95% theory and on stuff he only explains verbally
Closed book but open book difficulty. Doesn't consider accommodations properly for students either. Expects you to be like a memory machine. Screwed everyone for the 2025 final exam.
Passionate prof but way too hard especially when you have so many other courses alongside you in that semester. He basically treats the course and difficulty like his course is the only one you are taking in the program.
Honestly my favourite prof and favourite course I've taken at TMU. Shehata was the first prof that got to know my name and made me feel like he was interested in his students. Go to class, participate in his lectures and ask lots of questions. He will take the time to explain so take as many notes as possible and study those notes for tests.
he is a knowledgeable person and enthusiasm to teach, but in class you always get confused and exams are harder than what you think! you need to deeply understand the concept to get a good grade, memorization is not enough! so study weekly, and do your best to get 100 in assignments and labs cuz they are the free marks of the course!
All theory and memorization. Makes it harder for students each year, 2022 it was open book but with difficult questions, 2023 closed book with the same difficult questions. Doesn't give enough time for tests. Whoever gave him a good review is glazing.
Best professor at TMU, very kind, knowledgeable, caring and respectful.
One of the good profs. He expects a lot from you (which is great for the future but not so good when you have 5 other courses). If you attend his lectures, he explains everything clearly and, you need to listen very closely and ask a lot of questions. If you do that it is going to be very enjoyable and you will get a good mark. Time depended exams.
