Cheryl Dyson

My ARTH 161 (Art Appreciation) prof at Howard. Her lectures are interesting but much of them are watching YouTube videos. Midterm and final are writing pieces, she does a detailed review for midterm short responses. Very lenient and kind. Did not have to read anything from her assigned readings. Weekly short paragraphs abt two artists. Good class!

I would take an accounting course with her in a heartbeat. She is so kind and really makes the content understandable and thought-provoking. She is also very approachable when it comes to any questions you may have. I'm in Law and Business now but Prof Dyson you made me like accounting so thank you :)

Awesome professor! Incredibly kind and clear with her material, and always willing to answer any questions you may have. Make sure you attend her lectures because she does lots of practice questions that are helpful for preparing for tests!

Amazing Prof. Really made accounting somewhat bare-able and explains concepts very well. A really kind lady and an amazing Accounting prof!!

She is the sweetest,she makes accounting so joyful. She will answer all your questions. I really understood the material from showing up to her lectures, she goes over a lot of examples. She does her part as a professor but you also have to do your part as the student and read the textbook. She is my on of my favourite profs at Ryerson.

I love Cheryl! She is very patient and always answers my questions. Very fun teacher too, always joyful :) Did pretty well in acc100! And i would definitely take her class again!

Solid professor, passionate and does a lot of practice questions. Overall, take notes and do practice questions and you'll do fine.

Kind,caring,joyful prof who likes to smile. Read the chapters before class to prepare for the quizzes. Dyson expands on the chapter with in class questions that cover examples you need to know for midterm and final. You'll understand what she teaches if you read the chapter beforehand. Would take her again for 2nd sem. Real gem. Finished with an A.

Sweetest teacher ever. I took accounting in high school so I was already familiar with concepts and aced the course, but for those who weren't familiar with the material, she was great at explaining. Extremely caring and personal, always came around to say hi to each individual student and make sure they understand. Read text before quizzes

I mean, is this class interesting? To me, no. However, Professor Dyson gets the job done. She is super understanding, helpful and informative. You will get a decent mark if you put in the effort.
