I took a course with Professor Siemiatycki years ago while majoring in Public Administration. I found his approach to be extremely biased and, at times, culturally insensitive. He made assumptions about me based on my ethnicity that were inappropriate and disappointing. As a brown woman, I felt stereotyped and dismissed.

one of my easiest courses this semester, he one of my favorite professors. He is really passionate during his lectures and gets really into the material, generally a nice guy. You don't necessarily have to go to class, i skipped a few times and still did well. Be aware his midterm, exam and assignments are all essays so be ready to writee
The sweetest and most reasonable professors at Ryerson. Especially if you put in a little bit of effort he will notice and reward you for it. He cares deeply for students and their futures. Is very into experiential learning methods. If you have the opportunity take him!
The sweetest and most responsible professor at Ryerson. Especially if you put a little bit of effort he will notice and reward you for it. He cares deeply for students and their futures. Is very into experiential marketing and wants to be innovative. If you can have the opportunity take him!
It was the hardest class of my semester. Lectures are difficult to follow as he gets sidetracked easily and his powerpoints are disorganized and confusing. There are 5 essays in this course; 2 on the midterm, 1 major essay, and 2 on the final exam that are toughly graded. He expects the essays on the exams to be written in an unrealistic time.
He is a really good professor. He makes powerpoints really interesting to listen and learn. It shows how much he cares about students and tries to make his course really easy and simple. He is a really nice approachable guy and is always in a good mood. Definitely would take again.
His lectures are amazing, you honestly dont need the textbook if you show upto class. He gets sidetracked easily during lectures and his marking is a little tough. For exams and essays you need to actually put in work if you want a good mark. I'd say this class is just slightly harder than your average bird course.
He seems open minded in lectures but is narrow minded when it comes to marking. Do not state your political views on any work. I did well on the midterm because I just rephrased all his opinions but for my final I did not agree with him on some of his arguments and he gave me a bad grade. To do well just listen in class and accept his POV.
Very passionate about politics, great class, however sometimes essays are marked hard. If you attend his class and listen to his lectures, you'll pass with a decent mark.
