Dave Valliere

Dave is a good professor. He knows his stuff and is an expert on the material he teaches. However, his lectures are boring, and he's a tough grader. He teaches an 8 a.m. class, and in the first 5 minutes of almost every class, he starts the quiz. As a commuter, it was frustrating as I missed more than two quizzes because I was 10 minutes late.

This was a great course and Dave was amazing. He really knows tricks of getting money for startups. Come to class to get all the tips. Very little math for a finance course

If you are taking this course for a good grade RUN! 38% of his class failed first semester and I'm assuming the same for second semester. Great lectures but super hard grader for midterm and final exams.(Midterm was 30 m/c question in person, final was 5 long answer questions online... sounds simple enough but it's not worth the failure).

I'm not sure about what class the previous raters took, but I thought Prof. Valliere was amazing. He REALLY knows his stuff in this area. He is willing to help if you try to help yourself but seems to not care much for slackers, which is fine since when we graduate, slackers are going nowhere!!!!

Horrible course. Not a single thing that was taught throughout the entire 12 weeks was useful for any of the assignments. Every quiz was strategically placed in a time where students were not in class. Just to top off teaching my self everything without help, the peer eval can change your mark drastically regardless of the work you provided. Avoid.

Listen Dr. Dave is a powerhouse of a resource for those interested in Entrepreneurship. If you take the smallest bit of time to actually speak with him (he will happily chat with students after class, and there's always office hours) he can be a WEALTH of knowledge. He's very experienced, incredibly friendly, supportive, all-around great guy.

Dave's lectures are irreplaceable!! Teaches you real and important stuff about the real world and is very approachable. His lectures may be boring to some people because it is a financial course but they are so valuable and he does his best to make them engaging. He is a fair marker but his TA (another professor) marks hard.

The best! This guy has amazing lectures! He makes finance interesting and he has great and relavant experience unlike so many other professors who are just academiacs and read the slides from the text book to you. Absolutely take him if you can! He has another prof for a TA which is kind of weird but the grades so far have been fair.

Fantastic professor, the best prof I have had in all my years at university. He adapts the course based on student feedback. Did little quizzes each week to make it easier for marks. Engaging in lectures, makes it relatable to real world examples. So knowledgable and respected. Fantastic course for anyone wanting expert entrepreneurship knowledge.
