The voice recordings are hard to follow because she's confused half the time on what she's talking about. I mostly relied on YouTube because her PowerPoints are confusing and disorganized. For exams, she throws in questions that you wouldn't know just by studying her ppts. I highly suggest studying the concepts yourself before reading her ppts.
I was surprised to see so many bad reviews. I was nervous to be in Beth's course after reading these reviews, however Beth is so cheerful and hilarious! Her slides are sometimes a little out of order but I found if you take detailed notes on her lecture, you will be set up for success. I did not use the textbook and received an A in the fall sem.
Lovely person, poor instructor. Lectures all over the place, focused on small details + left out overarching concepts. Hard course - A LOT of self studying needed. Honestly, class could be optional if you study well independently. Tells too many stories. Be resourceful in how you learn here - you won't get much from her. Textbook was my best friend
Beth is very knowledgable. She is also very kind to her students and likes engaging them in her lectures which i liked! The course material is very hard but thats expected. if you do you show up to class you will have a pretty good understanding of the material, i only used TB if i didnt understand a concept.
Beth is not a good teacher, she doesn't know a lot. She is old and confused. Her powerpoints are all messed up and disorganized. The lectures were boring, dry, and hard to follow. Her tests/exams are like an Infinity Gauntlet that would erase half of your total grade. I suffered for a year and use YouTube as a guide. Avoid having her as a teacher
Beth's class is always very entertaining. She makes learning patho material fun. However, her lecture slides are very hard to follow as they are not put in proper order. Her thought process is also very difficult to understand sometimes. In order to be successful in this class, do textbook readings ahead of class and familiarize with the concepts.
She is a nice person who cares about her students. Her ppt and teaching style might not be the best. But this class is do-able and you can get a good mark if you work hard. Watch youtube videos! Can't stress this enough because it helps you know important concepts and easy to understand. I also read med surg (lewis) because she gets info from there
Shes a nice lady but she needs to STOP putting material on tests that are not on the ppt and that she NEVER discussed in class. And some of the stuff she says is not testable appear on the test.
I love the content. Not the teaching. The Powerpoint she provides makes my life miserable. Period.
She is not talented at teaching. She is not a good teacher. She is old and confused. CONFUSED. This means that attending her lecture will confuse you. I was suffered for a year. You tube is better. Trust me
