Taught me signals and systems all the way from year 3 up to year 4 DSP class. In the end he always homes down the basics and makes you understand that it really is all pretty simple stuff. Would take his classes again in a heartbeat.
Zeytinoglu is a good prof and he tries his best teaching concepts and lecture material, however his tests are difficult. You will never see those kind of questions before and if you don't know the theory of the course well, you will fail. He gives minimal part marks so you have to get the final answer right in order to do well in the course.
Extremely sophisticated, knowledgeable instructor. Knows the material inside and out. But he presents too much too fast and this loses most people. He fails at conveying the big picture and creating a structure then filling in gaps-instead you are left wading through endless details-if you're lucky, you'll understand the big picture at the end.
If you have him, good luck passing the course. The only positive is his recorded lectures but that's about it. He's a brutal marker with insanely difficult exams that never get bell curved.
He makes the mid term and final ridiculously hard. If he didn't bell curve the final, more than 70% of the class would've failed. Ryerson should do something about this. Please Help!!!!!!!
Be ready to put all your courses aside, and just prepare for his exams. Thankfully, he curves up the grades at the end, otherwise I don't think more than a few people pass the course.
looks and sounds like John Malkovich, would take again
Dr. Zeytinoglu really cares about his students. This may not seem apparent through his "crazy marking", but he takes the time to write detailed and lengthy notes for everyone to use, and it is apparent that he tries his best to deliver an interesting and engaging lecture (which most professors don't try to do). Very sophisticated prof and nice guy.
Just keep up with the slides and do practice tests you will do ok.
Good lectures, but goes very fast and grades very hard. will destroy you on silly mistakes...
