Marie Killeen

She is extremely caring and wants to see students do well. No textbook needed for this class. You have 1 paper to write, and several tests and quizzes that are all multiple choice. I definitely recommend taking a class with her!

She is very good prof and share her story. Only two material chapter 10 and 12 is difficult and rest is all in grade 12.

A lot of the material is very similar/builds on grade 12 biology. Dr Killeen is a fair and knowledgable professor who shows a genuine interest in the subject, and cares for her students. Assessments include three quizzes (lowest mark is dropped), two tests, an essay, and exam. Highly recommend BMS150 with Dr Killeen! Especially if you enjoy biology

Excellent person and truly cares for students but her liberal course is EXTREMELY difficult.. its a full on advanced science course.

Very disorganized and unclear during lecture regarding content and seemed bothered when people critiqued how she conducted the course (after she asked for feedback). Tests would have been reasonable had we had more than 1-2 minutes to complete each question. Rarely did examples in class. Stay on top of the material & hope you can teach yourself!

She gave huge boosts for the midterm and final. But she was bad at teaching, had an unorganized D2L, did no practise problems but we were expected to somehow just know how to solve probability questions. She removed questions people said were unfair on the exam. The course is just poorly organized, which makes it a bad experience

One the worst and most uncaring Profs at Ryerson. Not only will her lectures confuse you but she has no desire to help you outside of class eathir. In an announcement she literally posted, " Do not email me about any problems as I will not respond" in reference to online quizes.

Very poorly organized class. The TAs do nothing and don't teach. There's no solutions provided for the practice problems. You're just guessing random numbers for probability questions. The d2l is SO DISORGANIZED.

She expects you to solve genetic problems on the test and exam in 3 minutes or less but never does any sample problems in class. Lectures are based on nonsense the entire time. Get ready to teach yourself how to do the problems from every chapter with the textbook and hope for help from a good TA during tutorial.
