Overall a great professor, gave half marks for things I thought i would get zero on. I really liked how he basically told us what was on the exams. The participation activities were also pretty straightforward and he would always give us the right answer at the end. Only thing I didn't like were how MESSY his notes were :/
He was the most accommodating professor I've ever had, always listens to feedback and tries to provide the most fair experience. The content and teaching style is difficult compared to other classes because its not about memorization but application. If you don't do well on tests there is lots of opportunity to make up on participation/assignments.
some misunderstandings on the prof's and student's parts at the beginning of the semester made it a rocky start, but you can tell that Hitesh really does care about his students and will do his best to help everyone pass, he goes out of his way to give extra help. the course material is tough but as long as you communicate hitesh will help!
At the beginning of the class Hitesh made an impression to myself that I did not enjoy. As the year went on he changed his attitude and I started to see how genuine and caring Hitesh really was. A class that I once thought would be annoying turned out to be one of the most enjoyable and informative classes this year. Thank you Hitesh!! :))
He is very petty when it comes to marks. He will pick on tiny mistakes and take full marks off.
Worst professor in Ryerson's Architecture Department. Unhelpful lectures, horrible method of teaching, lack of empathy, and extremely disorganized class. Also, he always will try to fail you, even if you show up to all lectures and do the in-class exercises. Doesn't care about students at all, just himself.
Its that time of year again where Hitesh Doshi has once again somehow someway proven that hes the disappointment of the DAS community. Again with the accusations, the lack of empathy, and the terribly structured course and exams, you wonder how an individual can even teach STRUCTURES I & II when his class is clearly falling apart. Never again.
The most unhelpful and overwhelming course that has been sTrUcTuReD to make students suffer and get a poor grade. I haven't learned anything and wasted time trying to teach myself. There are assignments that appear out of nowhere a month before the course ends with a mark worth 20%. Doesn't care about anyone but himself and attendance. #policy60
Lacks communication/teaching and is more focused on preventing cheating, which overall lessens what we learn in class. Be prepared for your class to be nagged and accused of academic misconduct on a regular basis. Youre better off reading the textbook than attending his lectures. Ends question emails with "i have better things to do with my time".
