He was the prof for my chem lab course. Very helpful for questions on the final exam, which was based on the review posted. Also very nice.

Honestly if you're luck enough to get Shawn you're set for the semester. Not only does he actually care about his students, he's always willing to help. I had a mishap with ChatGPT this semester but I was very honest with Shawn, and he was so reasonable and understanding. He truly made me want to actually learn. Great semester, even greater prof.

Loved this prof! It's a lot of information in the course but he made it interesting, open to lots of feedback and remembers his students. 10/10 would take again in a heartbeat.

I came to take his chemistry lab in the summer and he was the most outgoing instructor out there, along with Robb. However, I may be the only one struggling in class since I took the lecture portion years ago before the lab. Or either his booklet were just difficult for me to understand. His quizzes/tests were tough so you need to fully understand

Shawn is a great instructor. He is super helpful, and is always more than willing to answer any questions (either in lab, during office hours, or by e-mail). I would highly recommend taking CKCH143 with Shawn.

shawn is fun and everything but he doesnt let you know how he will be grading lab reports and he is a tough grader. All in all i learned chemistry for the first time ever, but it wouls have been better if he was an easy grader.

Shawn is one of the best instructors I've ever had. He genuinely cares about student success, is approachable and willing to help you. Labs are well-structured and fun. Report questions are clear and straightforward, and you get them marked in time. He does expect a high quality of work but is not a tough marker by any means. Highly recommended!

Shawn is a good lab coordinator. Knows his material and is out there to help when needed. That being said, his marking is really tough and lab questions aren't always clear. Be prepared for the quizzes. Always have work ready, and neat. He is very picky about the little things.

I came into this class with fear of Chemistry, intimidated and didn't know what to expect; but that all changed with having Shawn as an instructor. He cares about his students, is fair and very, very helpful. The lab manual was very well structured and easy to follow. Highly Recommended!!
