A frustrating and unorganized class, it was slow and tough to get feedback and good marks. The group project was too fast-paced, and the expectations for perfection were tough to fulfill. At least Kathleen understood and is reworking this course for the future, even the peer evaluation was contradictory (groups had to fill out one form together).
I like Kathleen; she's very caring, passionate, and smart. Her class was based on three assignments, with one mandatory paper, but it was never difficult. However, class could be boring and she was often disorganized (it was her first time teaching RTA905). She's super nice and overall a decent professor with lots of knowledge. PS: NO TEXTBOOK
The lectures are very discussion-based, which is not my favourite kind of lecture, however this is an amazing prof! She is extremely helpful and interesting, what she taught helped me in other classes. The assignments are fun to do and quite easy. She really cares about her students, I would definitely take a class with her again.
Kathleen is a wonderful professor. Her lectures are interesting, and she listens and responds to questions and comments from the students with engagement. I would take another course with her in a heartbeat. She is also funny, supportive and interested.
Kathleen is absolutely amazing. I could listen to her lectures every day. She genuinely cares about students' interests and engagement. Assignments are cumulative and relate to one another in a way that makes sense, is relevant to course material, but also allows you to explore your own ideas. Best learning experience if you put in the effort.
Assignments are fairly easy, exam was very difficult.
This professor was wonderful. I took the class for credit but ended up loving it. Only problem is that she is often unclear on assignments. The exam was completely unexpected. A big part of it was knowing the art and the artists/creator. Assigns groups, didn't like mine at all. She allows redos and is always willing to help students.
Wonderful woman, I wish I could go to her house for tea and snacks. By far the nicest prof I've ever had, but being nice doesn't always make a good prof. She's often quite unclear and lectures are confusing, assignments aren't always explained well. However, she's incredible helpful and accommodating IF you seek help.
I took this course last semester and learned stuff that helped in other classes. She lets you rewrite assignments and helps you during office hours. Her lectures could be shorter but she is into it.
Challenging course but it is clear she loves helping you learn. Assigned groups at start of year and ended up with a lazy bunch. Ask to change groups.
