Lynda McCarthy

Amazing professor! You can absolutely tell that she is passionate about sharing her expertise students. If you show up to her lectures, you will be prepared for the exam. There are tutorials, but they are pretty much just review periods with attendance. Though participation did matter, Dr. McCarthy made everyone comfortable in their opinion!

Sat down because I was interested in what she had to say and was a decent class overall.

She's one of those rare profs who truly cares about her students both in the classroom and outside of it! I had her for limnology, and it wasn't free grades, but she gave a list of what you should know for examinations. I feel you can easily do very well in her class if you show up to lectures, take notes, study (of c), and ask lots of questions.

She is excellent in class and has great passion in class. I loved her each classes. But, she MUST change her written exams. I HORRENDOUSLY suffered to memorize every detail to vomit in exam. It was worst experience of my LIFE. I wish she removes written exams. In graduate level she should give more essays type writings and put extra marks on it.

Honestly one of the best profs I've had at my time at Uni. She cares so much and will do anything to make sure that everyone does their best to succeed in class. There was one group project and tutorials are mandatory. The class was online due to COVID, and honestly it was one of the best classes of my whole semester. 10/10 would recommend.

Dr. McCarthy is an inspirational, charismatic, endlessly-bright and passionate lecturer. While she may challenge you with course material, her style of lecturing makes knowledge really feel accessible and like a two-way exchange. The best educator of my university career, and a sturdy guidepost for knowledge, truth and better science all around.

Dr. McCarthy has been my favourite prof of my undergrad. She's so enthusiastic about course material and really wants students to do well. There's a group presentation but class size is small so you really get to know your classmates which is nice. Highly recommend this course!

Amazing professor. First year or third/fourth year, her classes and teaching style are always great! If you dont show up, you wont pass. She tells you exactly what you need to know, and is an easy A if you listen and study well. Very understanding, caring and friendly to her students! Would always take and recommend a class with her!

Dr. McCarthy is the best prof ever! she cares for her students, and if you fail her class, please don't blame her or her class, because her class is really interesting and easy if you attend class and read her lectures. She will tell you exactly what will be on the midterm and exam! easy marks for participation. She made my last year fun!

Amazing professor, always wants her students to pass! If you do the work, dont slack off, and show her you care about your mark and such, she will help you achieve the grade you desire! Loved her, best prof so far! She also gives many hints
